LOTRO Music - The Quick and Dirty

  1. Go to http://lotro-music.com/ you can download music files compressedin zip files.   I would do them one by one if you can so you can give them individual names when you extract them from zips.
  2. You are going to have to put all the .abc files you extracted to your My Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\Music folder.  If you don't have one, make one.
  3. After that, pick up an instrument from the closest bard.  The horn sounds like crap so go with a Lute.
  4. Start by typing "/music" to start the music session
  5. After that type /play *filename that you have in your music folder.
  6. Understand that some files will not play, and that many will not play right.  I went through 20 or so and only half of them are playable.

This is just the quick and the dirty, if you are looking for a more complete description of what to do check out the support pages at http://www.thelordoftheringsonline.com/index.php?page_id=126
